After an abrupt and severe failure of the inlet piping expansion joint, this customer needed the 24-inch diameter stainless steel expansion joint replaced in a hurry in this 1 million-gallon hydropillar tank.

Since the expansion joint was located at an elevation of approximately 80 feet, in an area with no access, the customer also wanted a platform installed adjacent to the pipe for safe access in the future.

|
The flanges were welded, die-penetrant checked, epoxy painted and the completed expansion joint insulated.
