This riveted water tower presented an unusual problem. The corroded tank shell needed to be replaced but there were wireless carriers occupying space on the roof and balcony.

After a temporary cellular tower was erected and the carriers' equipment relocated, the old roof and shell were removed.
|
|
With a new shell constructed on the ground, it allowed this replacement to be made in one day.
|
|
|
|
The old shell was placed next to the new one, to enable the old roof to be quickly removed and placed on the new shell.
|
|
The new shell, (with the old roof reattached) was then placed back on the tower before dark.
